I requested my passkey because I wasn't at my house and didn't know the passkey I used for my other machine(setting up another i7 to fold)

and it sent me a different passkey than I have here for my cpu and gpu client on my main rig..

Is this going to cause an issue? should I change it or what is going on?

EDIT:

I think it's because I used Gixxerguy6 instead of GIXXERGUY6

will I still get the points or is it a different name? I looked up the passkey and it doesn't pop up with anything :(

do you still have the first email of your current original account? i'd wait till you can look in a config file from your rig and write it down.

see that's the thing. I requested it one other time and it sent the same number to me as the first time.

and I'm not at that house right now and my ultravnc is only letting me view and not control.... so I can't change it

it's folding under my name our team, but that new passkey..

and I don't want my old passkey to become defunked either because I'm completing some wu's right now :(

User names are case sensitive, so capitalize differently and you get a different passkey. As far as public stats go, currently you won't see a difference, other than the machine with a new passkey will have to qualify again to receive any bonus. On the Stanford side, you will be seen as a different user. Having one passkey, I can see every user I've ever donated points to, with a passkey search. http://fah-web.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/main.py?qtype=userstats

One machine on the fritz is less likely to disqualify you from the bonus if you have all instances of FAH on the same passkey.

I may be stupid but I got confused. :D

either way I set the passkey to my current(original one) so I'm good now. (I'll get the bonus points now right?)

it's working that a1 right now and it says 3300 ppd(prolly due to the project)

A lot of a1s out there today.

If you're using the original and you got it using the all caps username, you're good to go. Just remember to use all caps in the username on every new machine.
