i just got my new system MSI KT7266A pro2 RU, Crucial 256, amd xp1700. I set everything and turned it on for the first time the harddrive already has everything preloaded from my last system. So it booted up to XP and I loaded the Mother board Monitor program, it instatly it told me that my CPU was running at 127 C. All the sensors started to beep and go nuts and I was scared $h*tless. So I turned my comp off. After some reading I gathered all my nerves again and turned my computer back on, but only to observe the temps from the CMOS. It told me that the CPU was only at 30 C. So I went to windows and loaded the pc alert program that came with the board. The program loaded ok and told me the computer was also at 32 C. So I turned MBM back on and the temperature shot up instantly again. Which triggered the PC alert program as well.
Is the program (MBM) getting false reading?
Did this happen to anyone elses comp?
what is the best monitoring program out there?

ref: MBM ver 5

Just a though... When you installed the new motherboard and turned on MBM5, did you reset everything for the new board?!? MBM could be configured wrong and not reading the sensors correctly...

yeah I reset MBM and it still went crazy on me.

What typically is the temperature range I should worry about?

usually u don't want temps over 50c at load.. and also make so u have the correct sensors selected in settings. :burn:

I read on MSIs forum that you won't have stability problems, don't have to worry and should'nt have your computer set to shut down until 80c...

No really the mod said that... I'm NOT making this up...
You can stop laughing now...
