HELP (i was unlocking my XP and)

i got a little super glue on the chip.
no close to the core and not touching any other bridges.
the mask i made of tape didnt work all that great.

Will that xtra glue hurt anything?
if there any safe way i can get it off?

If the glue is in an unused area then it should be ok. Unless it is a huge amount which could affect the mounting of the HS but that would be one big glob.


Try acetone to remove it.

I concur. Acetone will dissolve super glue, even after the glue has dried for hours. Acetone is also RELATIVELY safe for the fiberglass substrate. Be careful with the acetone, though. When I cleaned up after filling the pits on my XP 1700, I was concerned I removed too much glue from the pits. I re-masked and re-did the superglue in the pits to be safe.
