Why is there have of an AT Mobo conctor on an ATX Mobo?

Could sombody please explain?

I ment to say, Why is there a HALF of an AT mobo power supply conecter along with the rest of the wires(ATX poewer supply conecter, conectoers for the drives)???

That is used for P4 mainboards, you seem that you have never seen the a king of performance (P4) before ;) :rolleyes:

I guess P4 use them (don't have one, haven't followed their specs) and many server boards also use them.

Thats the Auxiliary power connector for P4 motherboards. You probably also have an ATX12V connector, which is a 2x2 square.
