X-fi blaster Optical problem

Hi guys

I have a sound blaster x-fi titanium fatal1ty card and I am trying to connect it to my Logitech Z-5500 series speaker system with a optical cord.

Problem: Not working.

the display on the z5500 says no connection on optical mode.

Do I need to change settings? does optical even work on my speaker system?

Might be a dumb question but, did you take off the plastic protectors on each end of the optical cord?

You may need to enable the optical or S/PDIF output in the soundcard control panel.
