So right now I have 4x2GB sticks of ocz ram. I currently only have 3 of 4 in right now. If I install that 4th stick will I loose my triple channel capapblility's until I get my other sticks?

Yes, you'll go from tri-channel to dual-channel since you're now running pairs.

sweet, I actually might just stick with 8GB's than. The only reason I wanted 12 is so I could run triple, but dual is just fine for me.
Is there any sort of pattern it's suppose to be in?

Check your motherboards manual, it will tell you which slots to occupy if you're going to be running dual-channel.
