help with peer to peer

help, my friend is using linux, and I'm using windows ME. how would i setup some kind of peer to peer network over the internet for him to watch movies on my dvd rom? we both use cable and are connectiong at 1156 KBS to 1341 KBS. would our connection make this an unattainable goal?

that is some fast cable

but dont you need a T3 for you to be able to watch movies over the network?

I saw somewhere that 10mb sec wasnt even fast enough

bummer. i thought i was connecting to slow to do it, but figured i would ask maybe someone knew a better way of doing it then me hehe.
