I just upgraded my computer from XP prof 32bit to Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. I have two GeForce 8500 GT cards and they used to run perfectly in SLI but now whenever I attempt to enable SLI with the Nvidia control panel it forces the screen res to 800x600 and aero stops working. The Nvidia control panel no longer sees them as compatible video cards and the device manager shows they are having issues. Right clicking on the desktop shows that the control panel isn't even an option at that point anymore. Uninstalling the drivers and control panel fixes the problem and Windows update installs the two graphics cards yet again in an irritating cycle. Any idea what I could be doing wrong?
