I've been trying to get my Q9550 to get to 4.0ghz. I have it stable with these settings:
Q9550 @ 3.8Ghz (448x8.5), Gigabyte EP45-UD3P, (2) 30GB OCZ Vertex in RAID0, TRUE 120 Extreme lapped, 2x2GB OCZ Blade LV PC2-8500, XFX HD4890 1gb(@980/1105Mhz), Corsair TX750W PSU, Windows 7 Pro 64
I'm running the memory at mch 333mhz 2.0B , 5-5-5-18 2T. If I try Auto, or 2.4b it will not work/crash. So I keep it at mch 333/2.0B. ET6 says DRAM is at 2.1v and mch voltage is at 1.2v. If I up the fsb to 451 (just 3 mhz) I will start getting memory errors. I've used Prime95 and OCCT to test the stability. In Prime95, it crashes at around hour 18 or so. In OCCT it crashes around 30 minutes in. The best stability I get seems like running these at mch 333/2.0B. I THINK it's the memory keeping me from going any further, at this point. Temps are about 65 max (2 cores, the other 2 are less). The funny/ironic thing is I have an identical setup except for the RAM. The other day that other PC froze, it was bad RAM (other MFR.). I swapped out that bad RAM for these OCZ2B1066LV4GK, and I EASILY got to 4ghz on AUTO settings on THAT OTHER PC! WTF?! It previously was only able to get to 3.6on the "other" RAM. I tried putting it back to this PC and STILL all I could get was 3.8. What gives? any ideas/suggestions?! THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!
