mines retail, and modded, crystal orb on processor, and tin coated ram sinks on the ram, and i cant run anything past 290/290, and i havent even scored over 7000 yet, without cheating. anyone have any advice, and my system isnt exactly jank. help.

I am afraid that it might be your memory holding you back. You have a great CPU on so-so RAM.

Definately go for the DDR....that Sdram is holding you back...really bottlenecking your system...the rest of your specs are awesome!

What program are you guys using to overclock your ATi cards? Powerstrip?

Does anyone know if theres a built in ATi frequency control in the drivers just like nVidia? or do i have to use a 3rd party program?

Something like the SIS645 chipset with KingMax PC2700 DDR would make that baby scream!!

are you telling ME or the other guy to get DDR. i have DDR, and used Powerstrip to OC, set it at 292/290, and got about 8275 instead of my normal 290/290 with 3dMark2001 at 8900
