Basically I have an Akasa Fan Controller, and I'd like to be able to control one of my GPU fans (because it's the loudest fan in my case)

If i unplug the loudest fan the temps only go to 50'c idle, so I imagine with the fan controller it'll still be safe.

--
The problem is that the power cable for the GPU fan only has 2 wires/input (positive & negative).. Is it possible that I can modify it and connect the red & black wires to my fan controller, or is a yellow wire required aswell (or anything else?)
--

Thanks.
(I'll post pics if requested)

yellow wire is not required its just the rpm signal... hook it up black to black red to red n ull be good.

Using an application like CCC/Rivatuner isnt easier? But +1 to Nd4Spd.

Ah right, thanks :)
Also, any software only controls my 2nd fan.

I'll be doing it tomorrow as its getting late and I'll need to skin and extend the wires.
