I'm aware the tittle is a bit suggestive lol. Here's my issue though I have the 5770 as of today and it's working great but I noticed Catalyst center FORCES me to choose my own AA settings and such.

I do not like this I want the game I'm playing to choose. Like I want to select the AA inside the game and not have the video card and the game fighting for who should be Anti-Aliasing nor do I want video card to cancel out the video games settings....

So, how can I make it so that the video card will only relay the GAMES settings and not Catalysts Center's settings? Sorry if this all sounds noobish I was always a Nvidia guy so.

Do you have "Use application settings" checked in the AA and AF tabs under 3D?

Yes'm I do. But for some reason when I change the in game settings the screen should change but it won't. Somehow with CCC set to use application settings it's STILL overriding which I know... makes no sense to me either.

If I just uninstall CCC my card should work fine without it right?

EDIT: Forgot to hit apply -.- Wow I feel so silly now. In Nvidia control panel I never had to do that so I took for granted it was the same. It's fixed now but the question still stands can I operate without CCC and operate well?

I would assume that as long as you keep the display driver you shouldn't have any problems. I haven't used CCC in a long time as it's just a resource hog and there are smaller tools that will do the ocing stuff that CCC does (ATI tool... GPUTool...RBE (bios editor))

I don't know the answer to that because I've never uninstalled CCC and tried to run the card. When you download the drivers there is the option to not install CCC and just install the video drivers IIRC. I still think that you should use CCC to set your 3D preferences though. I use other programs like MSI Afterburner for overclocking and fan control though without using CCC.

I uninstalled CCC and everything works fine.
