Hi guys, I'm a newbie to overclocking and I just overclocked my processor to 3.6MHz while stock is 2.9MHz. My problem is, I can only achieve this clock at 7-7-7-20 timing and 400 MHz set on my bios memory settings. I feel bad cause I bought a 9-9-9-24 G.SKILL Ripjaws 4GB DDR3 1600 so I was hoping I can still get it to work at 800MHz memory clock (or something close).

Any tips on how I can increase this? Or is it better off to leave it? I didn't add voltage to my RAM yet and I currently set it to the recommended 1.5V by the manufacturer. Any advice is appreciated. :)

Below is my CPU-Z as well as my SPD tab.

The RAM is currently running at 1000MHz using a 1:2 DRAM ratio at a HT Link Frequency of 250MHz. With Memory Clock Mode set to Manual, what DRAM frequency options are available under Memclock Value?

HT Link is set to 1400MHz in bios and CPU/NB Multiplier is set to 9x.

400MHz,533MHz,667MHz and 800MHz. Right now it is set to 400MHz. I was playing with the timings and bank time to get it to work to at least 533MHz but it doesn't POST. :bang head

According to the CPU-Z pic you posted, it's running at 1000MHz (DRAM frequency of 500MHz x 2 = 1000MHz) using a 1:2 FSB : DRAM ratio at a bus speed of 250MHz.

Oh yea, sorry bout that. You are correct. When I gave up increasing ram speed, I bumped HT and NB Frequency up so right now I'm running at 1400HT and 9x CPU NB Multiplier. Any advice on how I can increase the ram speed? What ever change I do it doesn't post if I bump the DRAM frequency from 400MHz to 533MHz.

You are going to need to loosen the timings on that ram if you want to run faster than 1000MHz at 1.5v. I use 1.625 for 8-8-8-1600 1T
