I'm interested in buying one of these. i heard of people though having problems with them because the USB port is not in line with the mouse exactly so it makes problems. what do you think about them?

If you are a gamer, i would think one would be out of the question. I tried to play a FPS(Q3) on my friends computer, and I could feel LAG when moving the mouse... (yes the problem was still thier playing bots) He has a logitech cordless KB/M, so its not like it was a el-chepo model. It could have just been becuase the battry in the mouse was low, but who want to change a battry everytime you wana frag something?

I have the Logitech cordless Freedom Optical mouse and keyboard combo. I concur on the lag with the cordless optical mouse in this case. I think the mouse goes into some kind of power saving mode and takes a little movement to "wake up"

My wife uses a Logitech cordless marble mouse + (also an optical device) and I havent noticed this lag with her machine.

so far my favorite mouse for gaming applicatons has been the corded dual optical Logitech.

I have one of those logitech wireless keyboard mouse combos and had lag problems also when playing Q3. There is a option in the control panel under the mouse settings called "enhace pointer precision" after checkin the box i no longer have a lag problem in Quake 3. Try it and see if it works.
