i know this should be in the mb section, but u respond faster here and i know some of u have st6 .. so..
well..
in the manual, i read.. that there are three options between 97 and 140 mhz fsb, and thats where im gonna be!
CPU:SDRAM:PCI
3:3:1
4:3:1
4:4:1
can someone explain a bit better than the manual how this work? and maybe give me an example or two.. thanx alot!!
setup :
abit st6
celly 1ghz
512 mb mosel cl2 mem
hd&nic&sound that can take up to 41 pci.

ohh, and one more thing.. where do i set the agp divider ? i used to have a bp6 so for an example if i run the fsb @ 100 i could change the agp divider to 2/3 so it would run @66mhz as it should do! thx.. hopefully ill have this sweety by the next few days
basically you take your FSB and divide it by the first number
ie 100/3 = 33.3333333333
then multiply it by each number to get your FSB/SDRAM/PCI speeds
so at 100fsb 3:3:1
FSB = 100
SDRAM = 100
PCI = 33.3recurring
:)
The first number is the CPU bus, the second number is the memory bus, and the third number is the PCI bus (the AGP bus runs at twice the PCI bus). Take the first number and divide it into all the rest of the numbers to get your ratios. In the example 4:3:1, if you do that it will became 4/4:3/4:1/4, then multiply the results times the FSB. So for an example, the CPU clock runs at full speed (4 divided by 4 equals 1), the memory bus runs at 3/4 of the FSB, and the PCI bus runs at 1/4 of the PCI bus (the AGP runs twice the PCI bus or in this case 1/2 of the FSB). Clear as mud, huh?

one more question about the st6 mobo :)
how accurate are the temp sensors on it?
should i take away a few degrees or add a few to get the right temp? thx!
