My old mobo died out, and i want to buy a new one with almost same specs... but for now I have still got the old and reliable IDE HDD, AGP card and DDR RAMs. My question is that can I still used my DDR RAM to a motherboard that has a dual-channel DDR specs?

I'm planning to buy an Asus P5PE-VM which is currently the last available item in a store I know here in our country.

Pls. advise, thanks.

Welcome to the forums. Don't worry about dual channel. If you have old DDR then you can use it on any motherboard compatible with DDR 1.

Just make sure you don't have DDR2 because DDR2 is newer and doesn't go into old motherboard like that P5PE-VM.

Thank you very much for your prompt reply c627627(or whoever you are)!
Now, it's clear to me... but I wish I'm not talking to a robot (just kidding)...

Best regards...
