i ran sandra on my crapaq 566.........
i don't really know what all this stuff means though,
any help deciphering it would be appreciated.

I was also wondering if there's a fps/video benchmark in sandra i ought to run.

You'd probably have better luck posting this in the Intel section of the forum but basically what you're seeing here is how fast your system runs. First of if you're using a Sisoft Sandra version that is earlier than 2002 then you might want to download it before taking your memory score as fact. Earlier Sandra's tended to score SDRAM memory lower than it was. The middle cpu benchmark is pretty much your all around processor performance while your top cpu benchmark is the performance of the built-in multi-media support for your chip. Increasing the FSB of your system will increase all of these as well but i don't believe that a compaq will let you do that. I'm not the most knowledgable on this stuff but here's a basic explanation of what it says. If you still need to know more about it just ask ;)

Sisoft Sandra is pretty easy it is just a graph basically. The higher the better.

Ya you mods always know where stuff goes more than i do:p I forgot there even was a section in this forum for "Other Software" lol i guess i need brush up on the forum knowledge;)
Oh and just for your information h20link you can dl 3dMark2001 at http://www.madonion.com Don't be worried if it doesn't do all the tests. Only GeForce3 cards and Radeon8500 cards have what it takes to do them all. The program will probably skip 3 or so tests. Once you're finished with it it'll give you a score and you can compare your results online if you wish.
