i apologize the difficult explantion ill give of the topic but ill try the best i can. its about overclocking the cpu. and its about hardware, thats why im posting it here.
i noticed that when overclocking the fsb some related processes would delay a bit to finish, the most noticeable thing i saw was running scandisk: with the overclocked fsb the process would rarely finish in one shot, you know when it needs to restart the scanning, that will moslty happen with the overclocked fsb. that is also a disk process, it can be about my hd.
i am very attentive to my computer and i know well when it will do something in the most usual stuff, like opening some application, shutting off or reading the hard disk, some usual processes. i noticed the delays on things like that, not only disk processes i guess. r that something anyone has noticed already, or is it something known? or thats my mistake, the problem is about my hd working with the higher fsb?
thanks for your attention.

I'll agree: sounds like the drive and/or ide channels are complaining about the fsb running out of spec.

Try dropping it down 1 setting at a time: my MSI board USED to take 150 fsb, but now is stuck at 145- if I go to 146 the ide craps out and I get disk errors (changed hard drive:( ) although it does run, and appears stable.

Sounds like your HDD isn't taking the high PCI bus like we all mentioned.

What is the FSB and the divider right now?

yes i wonder about that but all ive heard of overclocking and hrd disk issues was only about disk errors, more serious stuff. anyway my fsb is 150MHz and PCI bus 36MHz, divider 1/4. what you think?

Try reducing the FSB a little to see if it IS the problem.
What other dividers are available?
