Upcoming Ubisoft RTS
Anyone else trying this out?
Pretty interesting, but probably not going to be a buy all considering everything else going on with Ubi.

Terrible RTS, played for about 30mins and removed it. I chalk it up to there being a 360/PS3 version.

really?! i was about to install it, then i saw defense grid for 10 bucks and played that instead lol. Thats disappointing too cuz the videos look pretty sweet :/
I was tempted to download it from steam. I actually downloaded like 100mb of the beta, but since my connection is 512k I kinda said meh... plus Im not a big rts fan atm

graphics are sweet for sure and it is WWII RTS. there is still some tweaking that needs to be done IMO. the artillery should be more accurate then what it is in the game. It has some good points to it but just not my style, took a bit of getting use to. since you have to have trucks running to little cash houses.

no i meant cash, there are depots at different spots on the map. you start with X amount of $$, you build depots on the cash spots. the cash trucks run back to the main base to fund the war.
*edit*
ok, they call it a supply dump, still its how you get money.

not sure what hard to understand, its more understandable then that. every RTS is the same, you have to gather resources to pay for things, yes? RUSE beta is free on steam, go get it if you really dont understand what i said.
You build supply depots on supplies, convoys of trucks then exit the depot and go back to your HQ (or secondary HQ) and you get cash when they arrive. Cash is deducted from the depot first, so can attrition that way.
Lots of raiding opportunities. Also, building stuff deducts the cash, and then sends out a truck. Truck gets intercepted and destroyed before getting there? Bye-bye cash =D
I'd actually say this is a pretty good RTS, actually. Lots of cool ideas that are implemented pretty well. Unfortunately...this game's multiplayer is the freeziest I've seen in years. I'd say 75%+ of 6+ people games freeze on loading, and then you have a pretty good chance of freezing in-game once someone ****s up.
I tested out the beta. It seems like a really cool concept for a game but its not quite my style. I'll be sticking with company of heroes until something better comes out.
Canceled the beta download after reading all these reviews. Ah well COH is A-ok still.

gave it a try tonight, its not bad, just not great either, if it was 20$ i'd bite, till then there are too many AAA games out to play.
Anything with Ubisoft on it I avoid like syphilis.
