Hey.. my first post.. I've heard some good news about this forum

I run
965 Phenom II BE OC'd at 3.9 (cant get past this.. as raising the voltages or anything just makes my system crash)(18.5x210)

5850 XFX BE

4gb Gskill 1600 ram (Ripjaw series)

Okay, problem here is that any chance i try to clock my ram i get serious stability issues.. they are factory set at 1366 and when i clock it to 1600 i crash instantly.. i haven't messed with VDimm yet and that may be the case.. but before i rice my system's ram i want to know am i correct in this thinking. Thanks :)

Include a direct link to your specific RAM showing SPD timings and voltage at DDR3-1600, and also note which MB you're using. Also, what do you mean by "serious stability issues"... BSOD's, reboots, lockups, etc.?

At DDR3-1600 and 9-9-9-24-2N, try increasing the DRAM voltage from 1.5 to 1.6 - 1.65V. And make sure to run Memtest86+ before attempting to boot into Windows.

if its the ripjaws I have they dont need more than 1.5-1.525 to runn 9-9-9 1600

You should have CPUNB running at +50% effective speed though (2400 CPUNB for 1600 MHz RAM) and you might need a little more cpunb voltage for that.

My 1600 C9 ripjaws ran 1800 9-9-9 at 1.6v without breaking a sweat
