I would like to say good job to all the people that participated in this years forum wars. I know that most really did put in the time and effort, and really did all that we could do. Sadly, we didnt win. But I am sure that it wasnt lack of effort, which is the worst way to not win. I think that most did increase their personal bests in many of the benches. In not winning it again, there is sadness, but was still a good learning experience for most.
I am still proud to be part of this team. We took the best shot from several of the other forums, and didnt have some of our "big hitters" playing for us this year. I was happy to see many of the guys step up to extreme cooling. And hopefully that will translate to having some new "big hitters" for the future. I think the loss may just help get us motivated in the next wars.
Just saying that I am proud of the effort our team put in.
We may not have been as organized as past wars, but there was alot of teamwork and people helping others where they could. Many of you were awesome in that respect. And if you noticed most of the classes we just flat out were out-hardwared. This isnt really a copout on the loss, but some of the hardware deficiencies are very hard to overcome.
I am saddened by the loss, but realize that there may have not been much could be done about it. No shame in this loss, as long as we learn from it.
