After reading positive reviews and learning about Toshiba being ahead of everyone else I decided to buy a Toshiba laptop. It's a Toshiba Satellite A505-S6017. That turned out to be a big mistake. First of all there was a load of crapware preinstalled. OK no big deal. Spent 2 hours, removed all of the crapware, installed AV, updated everything. Good to go. Or maybe not. At least once every day I would get a BSOD. So I called Toshiba and their first recommendation was - restore to factory default. Great. So another 3 hours wasted to get a usable computer. No more BSODs, now computer simply freezes. It completely locks, need to keep the power button pushed down to force the computer to reset. Now Toshiba wanted it sent to their repair depot. To their credit they did provide prepaid shipping and packaging. I told the agent they would probably just send it back with no problem found. They had it for about 2 weeks, in that time frame I received calls from the tech working on it. Explained to him that it freezes when I'm online. Finally got it back today, no problem found. Within 30 minutes of use it froze. No vents were blocked or anything like that. No fans are maxed out it simply freezes, instantly and completely. Well that's $750 well spent! Any ideas guys?
Thanks.

PS I did a memory test and it passed.

When it freezes, can you ctl+alt+dlt? Also, please indicate what your OS is, what AV you're using and whether you're connecting via LAN or wireless.

Using Win 7 Premium 64 bit , wireless and there is nothing I can do once it freezes. BTW I removed Bing Bar and it's been 24 hours since it froze (keeping my fingers crossed).

Check the event log as well. It's really robust in Win 7 and you might well find the source of the issue there.
