Ok, here's what my system is looking like right now, I just have to go get the parts from where they are, grab a case and put it all together with some of the parts I have at home. Feel free to give me any comments on it, good or bad, what I can do, what I should do, how far I can expect this thing to go, and what-not.

-new parts
Mobo MSI K7T 266 Pro2
Pro Duron 900
RAM 128MB DDR
PSU 450W enermax
HSF Dragon Orb
-stuff I allready have
CD-ROM 16x or so, free, have a second*
HDD 6G fujitsu limited*
+ 2G fujitsu limited*
+ 2G Quantum/Maxtor fireball*
Floppy Generic, pulled*
Vid ATI Rage II 3D (circa '97)*
+ Miro video with RCA and S-video in/out*
NIC card from rogers@home instalation pack from friend*
Externals USB Zip drive*
Monitor and keyboard pretty much free
and however many fans I can cram in there.

* denotes free and lying around that were given to me.

for the parts that are new, I paid 520 canadian for them.
and there's a possibility that I'll be getting an ATI rage 128 for free, so.... yeah, any comments on what an idiot I am?

Not bad but I'd consider at least 256 DDR at these times since 128 is just too little and your programs will be very laggy.

well, I'm slightly aware of this, but considering my budget currently this is the best I can do, but I will hopefully be adding more RAM later, if not selling the 128 and getting a stick of 256
