I am current running this kit
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145236
OC at 1740Mhz 9-9-9-24-T2 with 1.66V. I can't get pass it even with more step up. I believe it's due to my MB limit Bclk at 219 bclk.
Since I just bought this kit, I can still return it and get this kit.

main reason I want tighter timing at 1740Mhz. which I can't get current Corsair XMS to do it.

What do you guys think? is it worth $10 extra?

If anyone wondering, here is my setup.

I7 930 OC at 4566Mhz HT on with 1.54vcore
MSI X58 pro-e
watercooler GTZ block.
1000W antec power supply
ATI HD5870
Corsair XMS 1600Mhz
2 x 30G SSD raid 0 for OS
1.5T Storage HD

I wouldn't...not worth the hassle for so little. Besides aren't the xms sticks doing their rated timings at their rated speed?

There will always be something a wee bit better. :) Enjoy the excellent memory you have.

I would dump Corsair and get either Gskill or OCZ, but then that's just me.
