Almost every time I bootup/reboot/etc, I will encounter scandisk scanning my C:\ for errors. On occassion, it will scan my D:\ partition as well. This seems to happen a lot when my chip was OCed. I'm not really sure if this is also as evident with my chip now that its underclocked. My HD is perfectly fine and I feel there are no errors whatsoever.

I'm not sure if I have the scandisk problem with a stock speed setting, since I've haven't gone back for a long while.

Probably has something to do with my OCed cpu, but are there any workarounds/fixes to it?

Well I don't trust my HD enough to not let it check when it needs to on boot.... But if you are comfortable without scandisk fixing stuff before everything could go bottom up, then you can do this to disable scandisk on boot:

Edit msdos.sys so the autoscan line equals zero instead of one. That should stop scandisk on boot.
