I am thinking about buying Asus' redention of the GF3 ti500, because of the "virtual technology" they offer. Does anyone know if they are drawbacks or raves about this card. Is it easy to O/C?

I got the ASUS v8200T2 Deluxe. AND I LOVE IT.

Although mine is only a Ti200 it shares many features of the Ti500.

"Is it easy to overclock?" Yes. It comes with a utility to do that:cool: Even got a temp probe on the card and some software to monitor the fan speed, voltage, temp. Quality product. I highly recomend.

Hope this answers some questions for you.

Yes a variety of people have that cards.

IcarusFalling mentioned it comes with its own utility to overclock and see the probe. I never knew that but I think I came across a screen shot relating to one of those where it was some design like "speedy" had the probe, core and memory.

It's not bad but whats the price?

$385 for Ti200! wow that thing better run much better than the competition Geforce3 Ti's (and there are several of them) All those tools to monitor temp and fan sound pretty cool tho. But $385? I just saw GForce3Ti200 at BB today for $150 food for thought:p

I have always bought ASUS video cards and have noticed they tend to cost more especially when you buy the deluxe version.
The average price for the ASUS V8200 T5 seems to be around $350 for the deluxe. If you would rather save a few bucks and not care about all the extras ASUS Deluxe cards come with them look for the Visiontek Xtasy Ti500 which averages around $290.

Is there anywhere you can download that software or does it only come with Asus cards?

As far as i know these utilities would only work with ASUS cards, so I don't know what use it would be to you. But anyway, you can download them from the ASUS website.

you want the "ASUS SmartDoctor™ Software" not sure if this will work with other cards but it's worth a shot.

Just curious what driver you're using with your V8200 Deluxe?
Have you tried any of the detonator drivers?

I'm using that card also, with the stock 21.81a driver from Asus but I've been thinkin about giving the Detonator drivers a try.

I use Detenator 23.11
Don't be scared to use the detenator drivers. ASUS seems rather slow to update thiers. (I bought mine around christmas IIRC and the drivers are still the same version on the ASUS site)

Just give them a try and see which ones work best for you.
