ok when i go to turn off my computer xp wont turn it off it will say something like it now save to turn ur computer off now or something like that how can i fix this??

Do you have acpi disabled? I think that with it disabled it might do that... check in your power managment properties for anything that might cause it. Mind you... these are just guesses. Never actually had that problem.:beer:

You probably do not have APM enabled. This article will tell you how to enable it:

My brother-in-law just put XP Home on my sister's pc last weekend and had the same problem.
I didn't touch bios/acpi, I just enabled APM, and turned off hibernate for good measure. Worked perfect and took 10 minutes:
it is a 450mhz PII with XP: 3 minutes to boot up, 30 secs to find apm in control panel, and 6 minutes to reboot!
Also AMD900*, please shorten your signature. It's way too long.
