Ok , I installed the powerstrip program amd so far I have gotten these results.

225 mhz core
185 mhz memory

Default settings are

200 mhz core
167 mhz memory

The real sad thing is that I tesetd these clock setting in Tribes 1 and I only got 37 fps as an average. I gotta install a newer game and try it. I think I'll install Q3 and get back to you all with the time demo results. This is not much of an overclock, but I havent gotten into all the other settings in powerstrip, and I don't know if I will. I don't know what all these different settings do. are there setting that must be done to get a higher frame rate.

You should try 200memory straight off the bat. I think your card is capable of 215memory.

How do you know when you reached the max?

When it starts freezing or cooling becomes an issue. You can probably pick up cheap ramsinks at radio shack.

Ok I did the Q3 Time demo test. :D

First I'll tell you what my system is. :D

Chaintech CT-6AJA4T Motherboard.
GeForce2 Mx 400
Celeron 900mhz@1ghz with 112mhz Fsb
256 megs SDram

All the high detail tests were done with the settings on the max they could go.

TEST 1 HIGH DETAIL

Stock settings

800x600 = 37.8 fps

1025x768 = 23.5 fps

TEST 2 HIGH DETAIL
VID CARD OVERCLOCKED

Core 225
Memory 185

800x600 = 42.3 fps

1024x768 = 26.4 fps

TEST 3 LOW DETAIL

All these low detail tests were done with all the settings as low as I could get them, but not set so low that you get no color. I have seen ppl play this game like that, yuk.

Stock

800x600 = 44.4 fps

1024x768 = 27.4 fps

OVERCLOCKED
core 225
memory 185

800x600 = 49.7 fps

1024x768 = 30.7 fps

Well there ya have it. This was my first time ever benching and crunching numbers just to get a good look at what I should do. From those numbers things don't look so good. I hope you guys know something that might help out a bit. :D One thing I dont understand though. I thought this was a GeForce2 mx 400 but the box says 3DForce2 Mx-64 Tv, but right under that it says GeForce2 Mx 400. So what is it then, i dont get it.BTW it's says it's made by Jaton. :D

ok what kinda cpu , ram , HD do u have

might explain why u get so low

cuase right now my tnt2 ultra overclock keeps up , if not beating it

but thats mostly due to a great oc , and the rest of my system

still...you should hit 200. Try pushing it a little bit more. Go as far as you can before you start getting screen corruption, then push it back 5mhz and go from there. Don't be afraid to push it a little. It's pretty hard to fry a card from a few extra mhz to the ram.

Ok I have tried to push the memory higher and I get no where. :( I went from 225mhz core and 185mhz memory and upped them to 240mhz core and 191 mhz memory, but Q3 time demo locked up. :( So I rebooted and went back and clocked it to 235mhz core and 188 mhz memory, but again I got lock up.:( So went back and set it to 235mhz core and back down to 185mhz memory and it ran stable at 1024x768 on the lowest settings and gave me 31.2 fps. I then set it to 800x600 and yup you got it, lock up :( Im now back running it at 225mhz core and 186mhz memory and it's stable there.:(

Will the overclock of my processor conflict with the vid card? I have my celeron 900mhz clocked to 1ghz with 112 fsb and default voltage settings. If I put the celeron back to 900mhz and put the fsb back down to the default 66mhz will that give me more video power? Or should I just leave the processor alone at 1ghz and 112mhz fsb?

I have seen this card online from different sites and you guys have said you got yours to clock high so i know there has to be something I can do, but im a newbie at this so more help would be great if you guys don't mind giving you secrets away. :D

Also, what det drivers are the best. I was going to get the new ones but i see xp on them and thought they might be for windows XP so i didnt touch them. I have the 23.11 det drivers right now.
