I'm helping my friend pick out a new video card. He doesn't need anything fancy, but the one thing he does want is a video card he can use to connect his 25" TV to. The main reason is so he can watch DVDs he plays on his computer. Price is also a factor...so could any of you guys recommend:
1) Any video card with the highest tv-out resolution and capabilities...
and
2) The best price/performance video card (at least geforce2) with the highest tv-out rez...
thanks alot

Well if he really wants the TV out feature the best choice is the Radeon 7500 cause it can do TV out at 1024x768 none of the Geforce 2 cards can or any of the Geforce cards period.
Only the 8500 and 8500DV cards. For TV out and the best DVD hardware playback I would go with an ATI card, try the 7500, if he ever gets a widescreen HDTV the 7500 supports it, I know cause I have a 40" Tosh HDTV widescreen.
If he is dead set on a Geforce card then try otherwise look for an OEM 7500 made by Powermagic for about $119 US.
MSI Geforce 2 Ti Pro-T 64M DDR AGP with TV out retail.
