Just thought it was interesting, not to mention the cards look badass. :comp:

It plugs in to one slot but b/c of the cooler it takes up two slots. Notice there is only 1 pcei male end on the card. ;)

Yeah thats the same stuff posted earlier (http://www.overclockers.com/forums/showpost.php?p=6438159&postcount=64). I hope its true!

Ah, okay. I just noticed that. Thanks for clarifying.

Makes me wonder if we will be facing a 470 x 2 vs 480 x 1 situation like ATI.

Still can't decide what I'm going to get for a card in the coming weeks. Fermi is priced much more aggressively than I expected, and at the very least while I probably won't pull the trigger on the $500 480, $350 for the 470 looks like a damn good deal. It'll come down to two things for me, how the 470 performs in comparison to the 5870, and what these things will do to the pricing on the 58xx cards. I have a feeling ATI is going to drop the 5870 down to $350, killing off the 470 at the price point while conceding the fastest single card to Nvidia. Most won't care that the 480 is a bit 5-10% faster if the 5870 is $150 cheaper. If that drop happens, ATI gets my money. If it doesn't, and the benches and general quality of the card seem adequate, bye bye 4890 hello 470.
