I've got a GF3 and an P3-700 running @ 933. I'm not going to get much more higher then that with the cpu and the current air cooling I have on it works just fine. But I'd like to do some serious o/c with the GF3. Unfortunetly, I have every slot beside it taken up so theres no room for a hefty h/s and fan. I'm thinking though that a slim water block with side mounted ports would be able to do that job and not need a huge resevior, radiator or pump, since I dont need to cool the P3. And when I upgrade my mb and cpu in the future, I could just add on a water block for the new cpu.
Anyone make a good slim water block for the GF3 (not Ti series) with side ports?

www.2coolcomputer.com sells video card waterblocks. Just remember you need a pump either a inline pump or a pump/res combo. I would also say get the rad if not the water being cooled will just keep getting hotter.

Great selections and prices!:)
But no water block for the vid card's memory.:(
I remember I once saw a water block that was being developed that covers both the gpu and mem chips for GF3, but I cant find it anymore and I haven't seen anything like it for sale. It also had top mounted ports so it wouldn't fit in my setup.:(

I think I know the one your talking about. Take a look at the furom "Post your home made waterblock pics" and PM the guy who has the pic of it he might be able to help you.

I just checked out his web site. Just what I was looking for, but the only available model is made mainly for the Asus card. And both the gpu block and mem block have top mounted ports.:( Also expensive as hell ($100! )
I may just go with a gpu block, but I've read that mem o/c on the GF3 made more gains then gpu o/c, which is why I want to cool the mem too.
Btw, the other waterblock for the GF3 I saw once was a one piece gpu/mem block, since the reference designed card have both the gpu and mem chips at the same hieght. The Asus cards differed in that the gpu sits higher on the card then the mem. Maybe that will jog someones memory and point me to what I'm trying to find? :)

Thinking and being able to are 2 different things.
I have the skill and training to make my own block, but completely lack any and all tools needed to do such a thing. Not to mention I'm on a very small budget. :o

If you have a machine shop around they might do it for you at a price.

Contact #rotor. His site is http://3rotor.dns2go.com/ He's in Canada, but he will custom make blocks for you any size, any specification. Take down the measurements of the RAM, clearance, the mounting holes distance, etc. I'm getting a ton of custom-done stuff from him soon to watercool my northbridge, my soon-coming GF4, and my system RAM (yes, he makes it :)). I would have gotten a custom CPU block made in a spiral or crossdrill from him, but I already had bought a Maze2 before I found out about him :). He's an awesome guy, fast emails, very good prices.
