I really enjoyed the demo, and exhausted it, explored the limited world you are given
i got the full retail version, did the first missions, and then you are free to roam and cause chaos untill your next mission is unlocked. but damn there is so much to explorer!!! i cant decide if i love or hate it
anyway..i havent heard much talk of the game, anyone else played the full yet?

Just cause it's a good looking game doesn't make it a great game.

Only played it for about an hour or so but I really do love it :D
MASSIVE environment, really nice graphics, much better gameplay and a few Easter eggs to keep me interested after I've finished it :D
7/10 so far for me but I'm pretty sure it'll go up to an 8 or a 9 after actually playing it through.

Man, this is the most fun I've had playing a game in a long, long time. The freedom you have, the space you have to explore, and the means you're given to explore that space, is just absurd. Once you get the hang of jumping from vehicle to vehicle, building to building, using the hook to it's fullest potential, it's just sublime. I love it. I played Just Cause for 10 minutes once, and despised the game. I didn't like it at all. But this sequel is truly a gem of a game, even if the story line is 1980's B action movie material. IMO that makes it 10x more awesome, because super cheesy movies from the 80's are the most phenomenal movies ever gifted to humanity.
I just got done playing for a couple hours, just farting around the entire map. The one crit. I do have is that it could be a little more polished, but it's not like it's an unfinished game or anything. The graphics are GORGEOUS. My card is begging for mercy. I can't even run it at 1080p, I have to revert to 720p, and that's with all the filters off :(. I'm dying to buy a new card, but it's just not time, and that's another topic.
If you like open world games, I'd be very surprised if you don't like this game, but to each his own of course.

Yeah I saw that post. I was just kind of looking for more opinions. I think I'll probably end up buying the game tonight.

Well it's a 7/10 from me so far but that's only because I've only spent about an hour on it so far :P
Probably about 8 or 9/10 but I can't say that for sure.

I love it so far. I've played about 4 hours worth. I've died a million times already, but that's because I keep trying to overtake the bigger bases with grenades.
I played the game for a couple hours tonight and its a ton of fun. The controls definitely take some getting used to but I'm starting to get the hang of it. I haven't even messed with the main missions yet. I've just been having too much fun stealing fighter planes and shooting things (then running into the burning plane I just shot down, blowing up, and dying lol).

I have to add though, if cut scenes and voice acting do something special for you, you will want to pour bleach in your ears. The voice acting throughout the game is complete crap. The cut scenes seemed to be an after-thought, which is exactly how I feel they should be.
Make an awesome game, then add some cut scenes if you got time :P

Anyone else think that attack helicopters are OP? So far I've been able to completely wipe out most outposts with just the attack helo (after clearing out SAM sites) and just parachute down and pick up all the gun/vehicle parts and money drops. :P
Think I spent close to 10 hours in this game so far, and only did the first 2 mission and 1 mission from each of the gangs..the rest of the time spent flying around liberating outposts. Soo much to do, its insane.

They were crap on purpose. That plus the strange singaporese accent that they decided to go with. I really love this game, I put over 40hrs in just on the demo :) If you know how a sandbox game works, then this is the ultimate gem of sandboxes :D
A must buy for me 9/10

yup did for me, had to turn all the graphics settings down abit....on my i7 rig!!! annoyance!!!
its only 1 setting that causes it....i think change the AA / filtering to less than 16, and make sure the water detail is not on max...something like that

Looks like I needed to update my drivers. Seems to be working fine now. The controls for this game feel weird (360 controller), I'm having trouble doing crazy stunts like I'm seeing in gameplay videos.
Anyone else feel this way?

Haven't used a controller. On PC, they are weird at first but you can grasp the controls quickly. Before the first mission is done.

i useually use the 360 controller for alot of games but for this one i prefer keyboard and mouse :)

i played the demo alot on PS3 i didnt think there was a PC demo. is it timed to 30 minutes too?
any way its fun, but check your brain at the door fun because alot of things dont make a whole lot of sence and the voice acting sucks. where is this happening any way, the place seems like half mexico and half taiwan and every one sounds jamacian.
also for not making sence, jumping off a cliff or out of a plane/helicopter and grapleing right before you hit the ground and living? werid dynamic

still haven't finished it, keep getting distracted by: taking off in a plane, hijacking another plane, jump up onto the top of the plane and let it crash into a small village. So awesome :D
I will finish this before the end of Easter (3 weeks time :)))

I played the demo this past weekend, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The map is HUGE. I tried getting into a helicopter to see how far I could fly up, thinking it wouldn't be far like most games, and well, a few minutes later I was still going up and my friends were begging me to just jump out so I did. I don't think I reached the actual ceiling. Took about a minute to fall back to earth. Grappling onto a helicopter and then doing a quicktime event to pull the pilot out reminded me of Prototype.

Anyone else having framerate issues while playing? I played the demo at no less than 55FPS at optimum settings. Never even a hiccup. Purchased the Full Retail and I'll be d***ed if I can't barely push over 35FPS. Played both the demo and full at "Optimum Settings" which is everything at max, save AA which sits at 4. Kinda starting to bug me D:

hehe i was going to try that but I was headed over to the Lost Island instead. now im stuck on the Lost Island and headed up the huge tower kill people along the way.
