My new xFi-Titanium PCIex1 card is not showing up in device manager on my GA P35 DS4 Rev 2 MB. Tried this in 2 of the 3 available PCIex1 slots. Same results. The onboard azalia chip is disabled, and old sound card removed.

Im wondering is it likely this card is a DOA? or something else wrong?

Try to boot to safe mode with card installed. If it does not detect in dev mgr than card is doa.

Hope this helps.

no problem Fish,
just glad you figured it out. on another topic I see you also have Gigabyte mobo. I really like my ep43 ud3l. originally wanted Intel board on my build, but computer guru at shop talked me into this one and I couldnt be more pleased with it. up to quad core processor, up to 16gigs ddr2 ram and dual layer bios. All at a gr8 price.

Just wondering how you like yours?

Are you sure it was seated properly in the slot?

hmm. Pretty sure. Tried in three separate slots on 2 MB/s, with and without the retaining screw. It is a valid comment though, since the PCIe1x slot has a pretty small contact and area, and is relatively unstable compared with a 16x.

I have a vista machine I have not tried it in. Maybe i'll do that before returning. it.
