Hello,
A while back I read a post about flashing a CDRW to a higher speed. I have a Plextor 8/4/32 that has served me very well for 3 years. If I trash it now it will be no big loss. I would like more info about flashing it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Looks like the only way to upgrade a plextor is to buy a new one . I did explore the ideas in the sticky and thank everyone for the replies.

I agree ! I just installed one in a machine I built for my daughter and even the door action impressed me. I have never come across one soooooooo smooth.
As for the performance, the drive I have has worked flawlessly for three years now.
