The guys at pro-cooling.com went after Chip in a big way. The details are all in the forum under water cooling and phase change.

EDIT: A bad buisness deal is one thing, but outright stupidity and fraud are another. I see nothing respecatble about the OCWC deal, therefore I am editing me previous post.

People like that are why I'm so untrustworthy of many small online stores which are most likely run by decent honest people. Resllerratings helps, but its hard to guage the smaller ones sometimes when they have no comments.

OCWC didn't just hurt customers, but it hurt the small and honest online stores that are already having a tough time operating.

Shame on them.

I don't think those sentiments are shared by too many - go have a read of what has been going on. It's pretty nasty stuff.

Yeah, I spoke too soon myself. I went and read some of what happened, and totally changed my views. I edited my above post.

That's some deep crap...

I almost bought from him a few times...glad I didn't..

I have always had this fishy feelign whenver I've gone to his site...

and somehow when I first saw watercooledcpu.com I sorta knew they were related for some reason...

Also.. I swear I type in the addy for watercooledcpu and got directed to OCWC's site a day or so ago...or something like that....

I dunno...I just always had a feeling about that place..

Quite a nasty business. I had purchased from Chip a couple of times, once with no problem, and another with all the delays and crap mentioned in the Pro-Cooling thread.

Yeah, I had problems with them too. I still was never contacted about my order :( I finally sent him an email telling I was going to put bad ratings on reselleratings.com and the bbb website, and about a week later I got my stuff. I wish I had known about him prior to buying.....

Guess it's just a good thing that he's out of business now, hopefully he doesn't start up another site and start scamming people again... I went through a lot of problems with Step Thermodynamics... Still haven't received anything back from them... Cancelled the charge to my card, but it had been too long by that point, Filed with BBB, posted bad ratings on Reseller Ratings, Filed with the Ohio Attourney General, still nothing... Similar thing happened with them, they just one day put up on their site that they were no long selling stuff to people...
Greed does weird things to people I guess... :(
Peace
John

I haven't even gotten through the second page, reading the thread at procooling.com and it made me want to throw up. I'm glad that I had read the thread over here in vendor discussions about OCWC.com before I decided to try out watercooling because I might have ordered the radiator from them instad of D-Tek Customs. It is a good thing that sites have places to post bad experiences with vendors like him. I hope that they can get enough evidence together to get him procescuted for fraud. Maybe a stay in the slammer with Bubba calling him "B!t*h" will give him something to think about for screwing all these people over.
