I have a aspire one netbook thats going to be my main rig for the foreseeable future and I was wondering what options I have to get video out on this thing. The only thing I can see is a converter box for the monitor out but thats bulky and I was hoping for something possibly through the USB. Anyone have any suggestions?
I take it you don't have a flat screen lcd/led tv with a 15 pin plug already on it? Most do...
I would call that the best method, just using your tv as an external monitor.
I'll do some hunting for ya.
*Look in the manual and see if the VGA out supports TV-out. If it does, you can use one of these:

If not, you may be stuck using one of those "bulky boxes", as I haven't found a USB display adapter.

Nope, I desire to take this to my buddies houses who mostly still use older style TVs with Svideo on them.

Anyone on here ever use one of those converter boxes? Do they display things correctly? Im looking at using it to play movies from my netbook to a TV.

Yeah they have a xbox but they dont have a PC at all or routers or anything. Their anti computer sorta. Their Xbox only has a ethernet connection anyway so I couldnt do much there could I? It really isnt top priority that I get this set up, just curious if there was a simple plug n play solution for this situation.
