Title says it all :) I have an old X1600 in the closet, and was wondering if i could fold on it.

NO, ATI Card has to be X2xxx series and above to fold,

It used to be able to, but they retired the core that worked on X1600 to X1950 cards, it's 2000 and above only now.

Well crap... that sucks. Figured it'd give me another 1K ppd... oh well :/
Guess i just need to go buy a 5890 lol

Yeah, don't know why exactly, i'm assuming it's because the version of directcompute (or whatever they use) they use has gotten much better on more modern cards, and the new faster version doesn't work on the x1000 series.
