Hey guys, I know i haven't been around too much lately due to my recent employment woes. I'm here tonight to express sorrow in the loss of my best friend. He has been my best friend since I was 14 years old and I'm now 40. A lot of good memories but I'm completely heart broken right now and my thoughts and prayers go out to his family in this time of tragedy. He was hit by a truck and killed while crossing the street Wednesday morning right down the street from his house. I loved him like a brother and he'll be sorely missed!
Just wanted to get that off my chest.......

Sorry to hear about your friend, i've lost 3 in the last year to various circumstances. It's hard to deal. Remember him, thats all you can do, cherish the memories you have of him.
I know how hard it is to get past things like this. I watched my best friend of 19 years die right in front of me. I don't think ill ever quite accept what happened. I feel for your loss and hope the grief will pass with some ease.
This may not seem like the conventional place to share your thoughts and feelings on the subject, but we're here to listen, we're a community and with that come responsibility to be there for eachother. Share a fond memory, something defining about your friendship. We've all lost friends, close or distant, either way it hurts.

Word... man, you just hit the nail on the head... I'm not that eloquent with my words when it comes to things like this... so I just have to defer to Shadow's kind words on this one. We recently had a loss of a great forum member named OldSkool, who was a member of our Folding Team and before that a extremely influential member of our Folding Team who we called pscout.... sorry if I'm missing someone, that's just what comes to mind right now. Although not of related illnesses or any illness at all... I think your friend deserves a post on our T32 Memorial Wall... crap, I just looked, you were a coworker of pscout?!?!?!? Post it up bro... my heart felt condolences are with you.

Sorry to hear of your loss, my condolences go out to you and his family. I've lost most of my family except brother and sister, the pain never goes away but it does hurt a little less with time. Just remember the good times.

Don't ever think about what could have been or what should have been and was missed. The here and present with fond memories of things and people passed is where you should be. Cherrish his memories of times spent together and remember them fondly, just don't dwell there as it'll eat you up. Been there.

You're absolutely right, I have been having a really hard time with this and haven't slept in days. I need to pull out of this and remember the good times! After all, he is the one I got in trouble with all the time when we were young and we had fun doing it!!
