My retail box P4 1.9Ghz runs at a stable 50 degrees celc, which is around 120 F. Is this normal for this chip?? Where can I find the specs??

Its too high.

I'm guessing its not overclocked? It should only be 40 degrees or so to keep that chip running for sometime.

Depends on your room temperature also. I'm running my 1.8 overclocked at 2019 and idles about 24 degrees F over room temperature. Load is about 44 degrees over room temperature. Hopefully those temps you gave are either from your room temp. being in the 90's at with CPU at idle or you are talking about load temps. which would be pretty good for a room temperature in the 80's.

Now I'm confused...Sandra temps: Board 75C,CPU 29C,Power 25C

Motherboard Monitor 5 temps: Board 75,CPU 29,Power 25

BIOS temps: CPU 49C

Smart Guardian(Soyo Utility): CPU 50C, Chassis 29C

Which ones are correct, and why are the others different??

Room temp is around 77 degrees

#$(%*(@T(#%TJ$#(%T$%TJ.. CPU temp should be higher than the motherboard temp... What's your mobo? .. I just have up on asus P4T-E.. It sucks with temp reporting, just got my GA-8IRXP and it's awesome! .. but again, your cpu should report higher than your mobo/chipset temps, not vice versa :( .. I'd say check your HSF!

Could the power temps and MoBo temps be reversed somehow??
The BIOS shows CPU temp 46C, and MoBo temp 29C...

Here's a different temp program...

Plain to see, every program I use gives me different results. I think the BIOS is the one true reading, and that shows CPU 46C and MoBo 29C.

Well that sounds about right, under load. I'd try to get it cooler and ironout the problems with correct temperature readings.
