I have a Celeron 800 o/ced to 896 and get 3532.

It is equiped with an Asus V7700 64MB. (Geforce 2)

Believe it or not, but the Celeron family sucks. Its not a gaming chip in the least. I'm very disatified with it performance.

As I know now, I'm never getting Celerons again. The Duron would be a better choice as a gaming subtitute.

I wanted a inexspensive solution, but never knew it would suck this bad.

I also have a PIII 800 with a Prophet II 64MB as well. I get around 5700, and that's pretty good for a Pentium 3 800.

Take care.

I have a Celeron 566@995 and a GF2 GTS. I score 3360 in 3dMark2001, and about 7000 in 3Dm2000.

The Celeron is a great chip, the problem with it is the low FSB! Even after a huge overclock mine is only at 117FSB, that really hurts game scores. Oh well, 995mhz for $30, I'm not gonna complain:)

7,000 in 3dmark 2000? That's one hell of a score for your system.....

dude you should see the trouble it took to get there:)

I have an Apollo Pro133 motherboard, it is basically a piece of crap. I had to bust out WPCRedit and the hex editor and manually turn it into a Pro133A in order to get a decent score.

heh, before I tweaked it my scores would be 5000 one time and 2000 the next! It was all jacked up.

I don't know, I only had a V5 for a month or so and I don't remember what scores it got. Not too good, the V5 is more for AA and overall image quality than raw speed. If you want high 3Dmark scores get an nVidia product.

Try to squeeze more out of your CPU- depending on the stepping of the core you should be able to get 1300 out of it, or so I hear.

Aside from that I can't think of anything easy to boost 3Dmark scores.

Can you prove that score? Take a snap shot and paste it here.

I find it hard to believe!

I have a AMD XP 1600+ o/ced to 1900+(1575Mhz) and I get in 3dmark 2000 is 8588. in 2001 I get 3762.

I can't see you with a Celeron 566 o/ced to almost 1Ghz and get 7000. I don't believe you.

Are you running default benchmarks? or are you changing them to 800x600?

ok, let me take a look at the madonion site and see if they are still in my project manager. I may have to download it again, be patient with me please:)

It was default everything, no AA, vid card overclocked to hell- it was too snowy to play 3D games, really, but it benched just fine. Sorta cheating, I guess.

BTW, I'll be the first to admit these scores are suspect- it varies so much from one run to the other I don't know if it is accurate. It averaged ~6000, but swung between 5200 and 7000.

I'm not trying to fool anybody, but<Reagan> to the best of my recollection </Reagan> these were the scores I got, honest. :D

at first glance, it appears that your scores are very low. You should be wasting me, but in 2K1 you beat me by only 402. Maybe that's normal, I don't know. Don't look like it to me tho.

ok, here is a link for a super old one at 6117 points:

it is the only 2000 project I have up there, apparently. It is quite out of date as you can see. Let me download it and I'll see what I come up with now.;)

Ok, I just installed 3DM 2000, just for you. I benched my system running a Voodoo3 2000 (oc'd: core@179Mhz), and got 3107 points. I think something is wrong with your system settings, drivers, or vid card. You should be benchmarking well above my score at stock speed (GPU).
