View Full Version : Choosing the right harmony remote
Their website verified the make/models of the things I wanted to work with the remote. Do I need to buy a specific harmony remote model or will any of the remotes work from the same database minus whatever extra functions (on the actual remote) they provide? I need only the basic universal remote that covers all my devices, so I'm looking for the cheapest option from Logitech.
They all pretty much do the same things. The higher (more expensive) models mostly just support more activities and have a higher "cool" factor, but all use the same hardware database.
I have 3 different Harmony remotes in my home, but I could interchange them from their current designation at will...they're very flexible.

I went with a Harmony 520 that I got from Wal-mart. It does everything I want plus some stuff I don't want. Like turning lights, fans on and off, and change the house temp.
Thanks guys :) .
** I found the 628 on ebay new for $32 shipped :) **
