Just got one X25-V for now, but I plan on getting another one to put in RAID 0.

Here is my ATTO and WINSAT benchmarks:
8178281781

Are those about the results I should be getting?

Also would putting two of these drives in RAID 0 cause Windows to boot up slower because of RAID initialization?

Those results look right for the V drive.

Technically, the "boot time" doesn't start until after all of the BIOS/POST/RAID stuff. But, yeah, you'll have to wait through the RAID initialization when booting. So, boot time starting at the push of the power button will be longer with RAID0 than with a single drive.

x2 on what Matt said. When I was running a single SSD, I counted from button push to desktop. With the RAID, I actually lost time due to the RAID initializing. Wasn't a lot of time(talking a few seconds), but if you want button push to desktop the fastest, stay with single SSD.

Just FYI Firestrider, but once you RAID your Intel SSDs, Intel's SSD toolbox will no longer work, and TRIM will no longer function.

Hopefully Intel will release a driver update to support TRIM for SSDs in RAID, but for now they don't.. I wish they did, I'd RAID about 4 30GB SSDs and watch the smoke fly.

I thought Intel released a firmware update for TRIM w/ RAID recently. I've seen threads talking about it, is that not true?

Apparently some sort of typo or error or something.. but no, sadly not supported.

The newest Rapid Storage Technology Driver 9.6.0.1014 is TRIM-compatible (brings TRIM to SSDs in RAID) w/ both RAID 0 and RAID 1 arrays...

Hmm.. yeah I thought that too, but later heard that it didn't support it.

I just looked at my firmware of the drive with Intel RST and it says "2CV102HB". I'm not sure if this version supports TRIM... should I update it to 02HD?

So, it's not the SSD firmware that adds TRIM to RAID, it's the RAID drivers.

The firmware for the SSD still needs to support TRIM commands, as does the OS.
The problem with Intel RAID was that the controller's drivers do not pass the TRIM command through to the drives.
Not sure if this is an issue with all of the other RAID controllers, someone else can chime in with the answer to that.

02HB is the 'bad' firmware that supports TRIM that intel pulled shortly after release, so yes, update your firmware to 02HD.

You can update the firmware without losing any data on the drive either.. I did the same thing on an Intel X25m I had a few months back.

This is what you have to expect with 2 X25-V in Raid0:
