What kind of cases do you guys use, Im in the market to buy a case.

ive made many mistakes along the road of liquid cooling, but im finally starting to get it right. I started out with a thermaltake big water 760i... worst computer purchase ever.
Ive sense bought a 2x120 rad, dis-assembled the thermaltake set up completely, and am using that rad for a 3x120 in 2 dif. places. (gets a lil clustered).

So anyway im looking for a case, something that i can run a dual loop at some point, maybe something that can hold a 3x120 rad in side the case, and a 2x12o out side, for gpu's

something that is aesthetically pleasing, and not completely over the top.
Ive been looking at the corsair obsidian case for a lil while now looks pretty good, but its just a little over my price range.

Perhaps if you want to post pics of your set up? im lookin for something that will look really clean when all done.

Side panels optional

oh i would love a tj07 but at a 350 sticker prices its a little un-affordable for me. at that price i would go with the Corsair, the Haf is decent case, ill def be keeping that in mind, but i love the simple look of the silverstone and the Lian li cases

All the cases mentioned are quite good. Personally I have a TJ-07 an Antec 900 and my current rig sits in a Coolermaster 800D.

You might want to consider the Thermaltake Armor+. Although my rad is mounted externally to my desk, you can probably fit a 3x120 at the bottom or the front of the case internally. It's a great case, I've had mine for over about a year and 3 months now and haven't had any issues with it. Here's my rig, a couple pics of mine:

If your going for a clean look you can definitely get that with this case. I went for more of the "extreme light machine" look so to some people it might look tacky :p.

Otherwise, I would get the HAF 932. I have always liked the look of that case and have seen some people get some really clean builds out of it.

All time favorite case for water cooling is probably the antec 900.I pulled out the 240mm fan out of the top of the case and put in my 2x120mm rad blowing the hot air right out the top of the case. Works like a champ.

The case also has the tubing ports built into for mounting of the rad outside of the case.

I doubt you can find it now. When it first appeared it became extremely popular and sold like hotcakes. Now it's rare to find.

I tried ebay with no success.

Running my rig in a Corsair 800d and it is pretty roomy inside. Only other case that caught my eye that seemed roomy inside for a dual loop setup was the Silverstone TJ07 [then again, I didn't look much further than the 800d once I saw it in person].

I had the same problem myself OP :). In the end I went with 800D though, amazing case.

My choices were :-

1) Corsair Obsidian 800D - One of the best cases when it comes to water cooling IMO. You'll run out of stuff to put in there.

2) CoolerMaster ATCS 840 - Great case with great reviews, full aluminum. This is probably the best option if you want an aluminum case that is at an affordable price.

3) Lian Li PC B71 - Pricey, but with Lian Li you CANNOT go wrong. Amazing quality.

Cheers,

do what i am currently doing get a double width server case and mod the @#$% out of it to make it look good that way you can use one side for the rads and pumps and the other for the rest of the components so that the mobo is sitting in a nice cool air stream and the head generated by the major heat generators is kept separate.

gotts i actually just got finished reading your thread about putting the lcs system in the 800d, wow very very nice job. Super clean. I think im going to go with the cc700, its the same case as the 800d, but with out the window, that way i can leave my self some room to do something funky with the side of the case.
but after reading your thread gotts, im def. going with that corsair piece..

hopefully soon ill be posting my own version. it will be my first actual case mod

Thanks Kully, this was my first WC and case mod as well. Just take lots of pics and throw them into a thread for us to see when you start putting together your new build. As for Corsair, they definitely have a new fan of their products after this build. The 800d is a pretty solid base case [does have a few things I would have changed from the gate, but all in all, good case] and their power supplies....impressive presentation to say the least.

I got one question for the OP. You need a case or a place to mount all the stuff?

Ever thought about a tech station? No case temps to worry about, less case fans, less noise. Not cats, kids or other 'have to keep it in a box issues?

I got a Banchetto. Very very cool. $250 or so I think. But it's really great for watercooling and looks uber good.

I submit my Banchetto. Buy it.
