Ok i have a huge problem. I have 6 devices using the same IRQ!!. They are sound, dvd decoder, ultra ata100 controller card, video, network, usb. I tried to disable ACPI in the bios but when i try to boot up, it restarts. I tried to turn PnP OS on and off and it still didnt work. I cant really re arange my devieces in the PCI buses because i only have 2 free and that wouldnt really help much. My rig is in my sig. ( hey that rhimes!!)
any help is greatly appreciated
Your video card should be on a separate IRQ by itself. In the bios there should be an option that assigns the video card an IRQ at startup. It doesnt like to share IRQs with other devices.
If you don't mind reset your bios and then start from scratch and only change the ones that are necessary (CPU Frequency, RAM Timings + Chipset Changes e.g. Video Bios Cacheable: Disabled etc.)
From the main default settings it should be assigning everything correct.
None of your AGP or PCI devices should be sharing IRQ's or conflicts will be the result of that.

Also, you should find an option in the bios to handle the PCI IRQ buy automatic or manual. Set it to manual and you can choose the IRQ for each device. Comes in really handy when you've got 6 things on one IRQ...

there may be an option in the BIOS which tells it not to share IRQ's - try that
