So in my boredom I picked up Braid, and am enjoying it, but do have one question for those who have played it. Are all the puzzles solvable the first time through a level? I went through the first level fairly quickly, but didn't get all the puzzle pieces, some of them seemed impossible, although I didn't put too much time and effort into getting them. I wasn't sure if you get other abilities as you progress that allow you to go back and solve earlier puzzles, and didn't want to waste my time trying to do something undoable.

Without giving anything away, no, I don't believe they are all solvable the first time through.

Yes, a lot of the times you do have to go back.

Thanks. Don't want anything to be given away, just wanted to make sure I wasn't beating my head against the wall for nothing. So I will get more abilities that will allow me to beat some of the earlier puzzles?

I kinda gave up halfway through the game. It gets hard!

No, you will never gain any new abilities. But some puzzles have to be solved first before solving another.
