Ok, now that I have an idea what my system will be, I'm getting more into cooling. Looking like XP 1900+, Abit Mobo, GeForce 3 Ti500 VideoCartd, Audigy Soundcard, 2 Maxtor 40GB in RAID 1, and 1 Plextor and 1 DVD.

Now this is some serious heat. Now my question is, what type of fans do I want to mount as intake\exhaust\regular...

Don't even recommend Deltas.. if you do I'm gonna laugh at you, also, I plan on using an Antec case, so most of the pre cut holes are 80mm, so some ducts are in order.

So, what is a good brand? Sunon? YSTech? Panaflo? ThermalTake? Should I go with 120mm low RPM fans? I want to try and limit the noise, so I was thinking big fan, low RPM, and, well I'd like some input on experience, just plain physics on these fans. I'm thinking 2 intake, 2 exhaust, and maybe a baybus plus 2 HDD coolers.

Thanks in advance all.

I've got 4x 80mm generic fans, 3 intake, 1 exhaust. 1 intake at case front, 1 exahaust at case rear, 2 intakes on the side panel. These fans are quiet, cheap, and probably 23-29 cfm. I just ordered a Y.S. Tech 92mm 60 cfm fan and a Y.S. Tech 60mm 40 cfm fan. My heatsink uses an 80mm 53cfm fan(Thermaltake). I'll be switching things around and ducting once my new fans come in the mail.

The thermaltake fan was really cool once I pulled off the temp sensor. I'm thinking about buying another one of those... the ones that're on the volcano 7. I don't have any experience with the other brands, but have heard: Panaflo fans are supposed to be very quiet. Y.S.Tech and Delta are obviously the best performers, but they're also the loudest.

I'd go with bigger fans and higher cfm's, but you'll be spending way more than you would buying generic. They'll be quieter with the same or better performance as smaller, louder delta's. I'll use the 92mm fan on a new heatsink... doubling it's stock fan's cfm, with only a small increase in noise. Ducting and big fans are definitely things you should consider for more agressive cooling with less noise.
