I swapped an old drive with a friend for a 36gb raptor HDD and was thinking about using it for my Windows 7 boot/game drive. Would it be worth it to switch from 1tb WD black Caviar to this one.

thanks,

Maybe if you make a 10GB partition and put the OS on there... But I'm not sure. Do some benchmarks to figure out if a short stroked Raptor beats a short stroked Caviar...

I think you would be better off with a small partition for the OS and games at the beginning of the Caviar Black.

The sustained read/writes will probably be higher on the 1TB drive, but access time is quicker on the raptor. For an OS drive I think the raptor might be slightly quicker, but benchmarks will clear this up.
