well today is the first day i was wondering about water cooling instead of air. i mean i thought about it b4 but i might as well as start researching now , (i will upgrade my puter in fall) and i got nothing better to do so the biggest thing that will bug me is,
DO i gotta refil the water container? please no! that would b a 100% no water cooling for me if i do. and if the watercooler uses radiators, then would u need big fans in the radiators to move the air around? and in that case would u really get a lot of noise reduction?

There are 2 types of systems: Closed loop and Open loop.
Closed loop is closed to the air, the water is contained at all times, in a reservoir, radiator, tubes, and waterblock.
In an Open loop, water is exposed to the air, either in a cooling tower, or any kind of setup. When the water is in contact with air, it evaporates. Then you need to refill it.
If you do a closed loop system right, you won't have to refill it, and in an open loop, it depends how often you fill up the reservoir or whatever container you use.

okay ill think about it.
Many people here use a single 120mm fan on their radiators. These fans are nice and quiet (if you shop around), and push alot of air, so the radiator fan could replace many of the other fans in the system.
This sure beats the hovercraft that some guys stick a motherboard into (their words) as far having a quiet system goes.
With my system, the aquarium out in the livingroom is getting kind of annoying. That's how quiet the system can be.
I would recommend a closed loop system for you. Hoot here has a nice clean setup, with off the shelf parts and some enginuity on his part: http://forums.overclockers.ws/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=48220
There's also the front page here www.overclockers.com/topiclist/index31.asp#WATER COOLING that has a heap of knowledge about watercooling setups.
Last but not least, Welcome to the forums!
