I'm looking at getting this power supply: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341022&Tpk=ocz%20550w which comes out to about $40 after rebate and $5 off-and it ends today. But I have found a recertified one for $39.99 with about $10 shipping which makes it about $50. Should I pay the $65.99 and hope I get the rebate in about 3 months or just get the recertified for $49.99 ????

Are both the same model? When I looked it looked like the recerts were stealthstreams, If that is the case then you have to factor in modular vs non modular as well. Also, It looks like the warranty on the recerts is only 1 year vs 3 years for the new model.

How about neither and get a better PSU? IIRC, thats a Sirtec unit.

Corsair 550VX comes to mind...

I personally would go with the new one, I have dealt with OCZ rebates in the past with memory and I got the $$ in approx 2 months. OCZ Psu's aren't great, However they aren't garbage either, I would feel more comfortable with the extra 2 years on the warranty though.

I'm gonna wait right now and probably get the 700w model later. I'ts not modular, but it has the red leds i want for my black/red themed case. I guess I could get a different nodular psu and put these in the case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811994015&cm_re=red_led-_-11-994-015-_-Product. Maybe looking at this one instead:
