8800GT problem!

ok a friend of mine is having problems with his 8800GT!!!!!!!!

this is what i know:

if he plays any game with or without the fans at 100% the game freezes after about 5 mins, get a loud buzzing noise from the speakers and get all these white rectangular things on every row!!!


could the oven fix work?

Do not put that in the oven , that is the last last last resort and not a 100% viable method.

1st. pull out the card, blow out the pci slot, blow out the cooler, check for dust.

2nd down load evga precision, to make sure the fan speed is running at higher than 20%

3. download the latest drivers

4th if still getting issues, check warranty info and see if it perhaps has a life time warranty or is in warranty.

you guys work fast LOL 16 mins well if it still isn't working, card might be shot. you can use the over thing but check out the thread with that because its very dangerous.
